February Wrap Up

February was an interesting month for sure.

An ice storm, an earthquake and
enough going on to keep us super busy!

Of course the highlight of February was that K and I
celebrated our first Valentine's day!

It couldn't have been more perfect.
I made his favorite dinner, shrimp alfredo. Delish!
We exchanged gifts, The Valentine bracelet from Kate Spade for me
and a local restaurant bucket list book, zip ties and a pink teddy bear for him :)
See- K is EXTREMELY hard to shop for so I usually make him something
and the little pink teddy bear is an inside joke.

After exchanging presents, K took me to the gun range.  I was stoked.
I know I am as priss pot as they come but I know how to
shoot a gun AND very well, I may add.
I DID grow up in Georgia for goodness sake!

An earthquake, YES AN ACTUAL EARTHQUAKE,
right here in the Southland ended our night but what can we say
our love rocks our world!

Speaking of natural disasters...

Not only did we have an earthquake here in Georgia but we had an ice storm!
It was crazy. You can see from my pictures that I didn't venture out much
during the storm.  Most of our town lost power, some up to 4 days.
There were trees down everywhere and power lines.
I have to give it to the local government though, they were ready.
We just don't get weather like this down South and
we are still cleaning it up.
The only good part was that we had three cuddle days at home
and got to take hot chocolate to our neighbors!

A couple other things that made February special were

The Dood learned how to vacuum!  Whoop!

I took a part-time Senior Editor position for a local business publication.
I am still working as Marketing Director, but I love to write
and when they approached me, I knew I would love it!

K and I went to see Rock of Ages.
Definitely not for the faint of heart but it was awesome.
I love going to live shows and it was entertaining enough
to keep K from snoring!

We traveled to Savannah, to meet with Geez Louise bride and
my forever little sister to help with her wedding plans.
While we were there we got to spend some MUCH needed
time with my best friend and her husband.

We discovered ways to make the pickiest kid in the world eat! Ha!

The Dood learned how to chop wood and K even bought him his very own ax.

I planned our annual awards banquet at work complete with a red carpet,
paparazzi and media coverage!  It was a HUGE undertaking but turned out AMAZING!
Plus, K and I look hot! Superstars!

We celebrated K's dad's birthday!  Happy Birthday Papa!

And of course...

We spent lots of cuddle time on the couch.
Our favorite!

I hope everyone had a great February and will have an even better March.
March is definitely shaping up to be a memorable month
in our household!

XOXO
Pearl
